Health and Environment

The village of Dida N’Glossou, in the department of Toumodi is getting ready to celebrate the reception of a community infracstructure for the happinness of the populations.

In fact, this is the inauguration of a free water borehole graciously donated by the joint funding of the Lions Clubs International Foundation, the Lions Calao and Phoenix Clubs with the support of Habitat for Humanity Côte d'Ivoire.

This donation will enable households in Dida N'Glossou to have access to drinking water to improve their hygiene and sanitation conditions. Threatened by the rising waters of the N'Zi river, Dida N'Glossou is disappearing gradually; under the helpless eye of the villagers. But today, the village is coming back alive with several initiatives for the well-being of populations, including the relocation of the village to a new site where the construction of 80 social housing is planned, but also the biogas project that will allow people to have access to clean and non-polluting energy.
