Habitat for Humanity Cote D’ivoire was established by the Ministerial Decree No. 247 / INI / AAT / DG of the 10th November 1999. HPH - CI is governed by statutes and regulations explicitly stating its organization, its principles, its objectives and operation.
Habitat for Humanity Cote D’ivoire is an American Non-profit Christian based organization. Its mission is to help people with modest incomes to have access to social housing. In addition to that, Habitat for Humanity Cote D’ivoire helps vulnerable people to have decent homes so as to live in a healthy and a secure environment.
In addition to the construction of houses, Habitat for Humanity Cote D’ivoire aims at helping to improve the living conditions of disadvantaged people through the access to clean water, through the care and support given to orphans and children with AIDS and through a basic training in financial education and building trades.
Furthermore, the organization is committed and involved in the social transformation of communities through the education of communities in social inclusion and community involvement, volunteerism, respect for cultural and ethnic pluralities which are the guarantee of a sustainable social cohesion.
